In November 2022, the Russian division of the American oilfield services company Baker Hughes began operating under a new name - OFS Technologies. Before this, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the deal to sell its Russian assets to local management. The president of the company was David Gadzhimirzaev, who worked for Baker Hughes for 15 years and, since 2020, held the position of executive director for work with the company’s key customers in Russia, including Rosneft, Gazprom and Novatek. In an interview with Vedomosti, Gadzhimirzaev spoke about the company’s prospects after separation from Baker Hughes, as well as what support it expects from the state and when it will begin producing import-substituting oilfield service equipment.
